LAMPARD INTERESTED IN RICE

 

Recent reports suggest that Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is interested in signing West Ham star Declan Rice according to reports from England. The Blues have been busy in the transfer window already securing the signing of Hakim Ziyech and are close to completing a deal for Timo Werner.


According to Transfer specialist Ian McGarry claims that Rice is another target for Lampard as he looks to revamp his squad ahead of next season. Speaking in a podcast, McGarry revealed that Lampard fancies the former Chelsea academy player. He believes Lampard will try and convince the club to sign their former player.

Murray also mentioned that Lampard feels that the England international could be a commanding presence in front of the defence. Rice has received plaudits since his breakthrough season and a move to Stamford Bridge could be the next step in his career.

Former Newcastle united captain Fabricio Coloccini believes that Rice can play for the top clubs in the division. He admitted that it will be difficult for the Hammers to keep the emerging England international beyond this summer. Coloccini stated that he will add quality to any of the top six clubs.

Rice is also attracting interest from Manchester United. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that United will try and look at the possibility of signing the player in the past. Though the £100 million asking price will be too much. United will try and beat the price down. Manchester United are planning for a massive transfer summer. Jadon Sancho, Kai Havertz are among the names that have been linked with the club in the past few weeks.

Sancho is expected to leave Dortmund this season. With Manchester united leading the race to sign the former Manchester City Academy graduate.
