FabricioColoccini has left Newcastle United by mutual consent and will be returning to his native Argentina. The player will be joining his local club, San Lorenzo.

FabricioColoccini made his debut for Newcastle United in 2008 when he signed from Deportivo La Coruna. His first game was against Manchester United on the opening day of the season when the Magpies managed to get a draw at Old Trafford. Since then he has made 275 appearances for the team and established himself as an important player. He will end up becoming the Newcastle captain for several seasons.

He said that the player has always been friendly with players as well as staff alike. He had always made others feel at home at Newcastle United and said that the club would miss him.
FabricioColoccini has stated that he has enjoyed playing for Newcastle United and that he has spent the best moments of his career there. He has wished the club luck for the next campaign and believes that the club has the necessary resources to win its promotion to the Premier League. He said that he would cherish all the memories he experienced while playing for Newcastle United.
