Alan Pardew says he will ask Fabricio Coloccini to “play it again” in Sunday’s Premier League tussle with Aston Villa.
Pardew was impressed by the defender’s forward play in United’s last match and wants more of the same – despite initially asking the big stopper to go for safety first.
The Argentine was magnificent in the 4-1 win over Wolves, and Pardew has admitted Coloccini growled at him on the touchline when he was told to stay back as United probed for goals against the Black Country strugglers.
Now, Pardew has admitted he will be quite happy to poke for a response again from the former Deportivo la Coruna man in the game with Villa on Sunday – if it gets another top-notch performance out of him.
